Fiery Spirit: Awaken!

Life is a directionless whirlwind. It is destructive yet it is creative. Disorganized and chaotic, it seeks to make sense of what is and what nots by immersing itself in its preordained role. This makes it impossible to try new things. Accustomed to its destructive role, changes are foreign and awkward and thus it leaves its chances to try something new, to meet its creative side.

We men are like that whirlwind. I have experienced that first-hand. In fact, the realization came to me three days ago, just after my enrollment for the second semester of college. Here I am, sitting in the little corner of our home when I received a sudden inspiration to write.

But a more bitter realization hit me upon my attempt. Just a year ago, I could write with much ease. Ideas just flowed in and grammatical structure correct itself within the very processing core of my brain. But at this moment, everything feels awkward. It feels as though my head is covered in a haze and a heavy feeling kept my mind from operating the way it used to back in high school.

This alarmed me greatly. Too long have I been comfortable in the idea that I am good and I am enough. But right this instance, I know that my complacency led to the deterioration of my person, my soul and my memory. It is time for that whirlwind to rest and free itself from its endless torment. It is time for the storm to end its violence. It is time for the torture to stop.

At this time of this writing, the seeds of changes are in order. No longer will naivete hamper my judgment; no longer shall innocence cloud my vision; no longer will foolishness and selfishness close room for progress. It is time to put pride to rest. It is time to work. It is time to awaken that fiery spirit and give rise to a more aware and more flexible catalyst to a brighter and more wonderful development.
